Ship wrecked!

Well.....as much as i love this place we decided that it was time for us to be let loose in good old vietnam so we brought ourselves a boat ticket only to find out this morning that theres a 'tsunami warning' and no boats will run! The flights are all booked up so we are stranded on good old Phu Quoc til the 3rd of Jan! look forward to my message in a bottle! Thankfully i can think of a lot worse places to be stuck and i am really looking forward to the new year "Bonfire on the beach" party. Also going to start my rescue dive course so going to be a busy bee!!!!

Phu Quoc - Land of the stars and the squeaky sand!

Arrived here on Sunday. It's amazing...our own paradise. We are living in a lovely beach bungalow (see pic above) with an amazing view of the beach! The island is touristy but not as bad as we expected it to be. It's pretty much a desert island with not alot to do. Its great. I love it. Theres a few bars and resturants along the beach and we have already befriended the locals at these places.

The first week here has been well needed. Lots of relaxing and early nights, (Abbie and Danielle are too old for anything else it seems lol!) We've been typical tourists and done the one day snorkelling and fishing trip that they try to sell us everywhere we go. I even managed to catch 7 fish - check me out! We've all gone a bit motorbike crazy, there so much fun. Abbie wasn't5 too keen at first but i think she's been convertored now! I've been Scuba diving. The scuba divers have tried to persuade me to stay and train as a 'dive master' and then work for them. Also they need a English teacher on the island so me and Danielle could be stuck here forever, ha ha!!

THE COUNT DOWN....

ONE WEEK TO GO!

Wow! I'm leaving Hong Kong. You know what they say "...Time flys when your having fun..". This place feels so much like home now. Its going to be strange to leave, but at least i'm coming away with some amazing memories and i've meet lots of amazing people!

Me and Danielle have got an amazing adventure ahead of us. Lots of new places, faces and challanges but I'm sure we'll cope with them. Not to sure if Danielle will cope too well with my early mornings and need for adventure lol! I hope to come back to England with some sort of direction of what to do with my life. i hope i'm not running away from things! Everytime i settle in to things i move on.... all i can say is i like changes! I've been told that i am and i always will be a little dreamer...planning my next adventure all the time. I guess this is true and the time has come to set myself some new goals!
